Sure...No one can tell them how to obtain energy. This is their own business...And beside this Iran signed the non proliferation treaty and by building a nuclear facility they are not breaking any law...as long as this facility is used only in civilian purpose...
No one has the right to say something to Iran, especially the US who has nuclear weapons, which is a break of the NPT,but no one seems to bother asking them any explanation...

No one - that is correct - no one is denying Iran the right to nuclear power.
The problem is in the ability to produce weapons grade material.
Iran has such an unstable and bloodthirsty regime that the world fears that it would make and use a nuclear bomb if it could. It is already a proven major supplier of weapons to terrorists.
It really has to be in Irans interest to be open and not produce even a suggestion that it has the ability to produce a weapon as that would almost certainly bring about a strike against Iran.
A nuclear weapon would guarantee war for Iran. No one wants that.

Pauline has a good point but...if a point is likely to result in the elimination from planet earth of all people who know what a good point is then it is time to use a little common sense.
The leader of this country you speak of that "has a right to nuclear power" has proclaimed that he feels that Israel should be eliminated from the earth. Do you think that Isreal has a right to exist?
Natural law pretty much says what rights are-they belong to the strong. We are more powerful than most of the world. Personally, as for now, I think we handle power better than anyone else would even if not perfectly. Historically, we are one of the only major world powers that has never tried to take over the world (like Rome, France, Germany) and only the US and Britain have repeatedly ceaded territory to other countries without need for war or revolution (phillipines, marshal Islands, panama canal, Hong Kong, Brittish West Indies which is now Belize, etc.)
I trust us with nuclear weapons more than those countries that want them. And to hell with "rights" if they are going to kill me.

the fewer the better do you realize the devastation of nuclear
war and if you justify a small country think of the retaliatory
consequences ..... say good bye to Iran and Korea both if they were to implement an aggression do we want that much death and destruction!
Didn't anyone learn anything from Japan after pearl harbor ...
a waste of time like this kind of blackmail is futile compared to
peace time economics .....does an idiot have the right to suicide?
peace out & enjoy life!

Just because eight other countries have nuclear weapons does not justify any other country to have nuclear weapons.
Iran signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and because of this it does not have the right to develop or aquire nuclear weapons.
Iran is surrounded by oil, so why bother developing nuclear power?

Nuclear power is fine but Iran will not just stop there..
With the Iranian president himself always shouting Death to Israel and Death to America people like that don't need nuclear capability .
It's a well known and proven fact the Iranian govt sponsors and supports terrorist organizations.
And before everyone says oh America is just a bully ..remember terrorist won't just use those Nukes in America if they get them.
I can guarantee England and any other nation who don't bow down to them.. Would get one used on them as well.
Thats why Iran shouldn't have nukes..
