I used to get really dry skin and ended up finding out it was because of the moisurizer I was using on it!
Name brands and prices don't matter so I won't name specific products. Just make sure that your moistorizer has Aloe and Vitamin E in it and is NOT scented. Scented creams will dry out the skin on your face. And yes, apply each night before bed and if you notice it's still bad before you put on your make up put more on and let dry before putting the concealer on.
You can also find some light concealers that have moisturizer in them and even an SPF to help from the sun.
Hope this helps I know how annoying it can be.

You can't really conceal dry skin, but you can correct it. I may be a little partial but you could specifically be interested in the Mary Kay like for Dry skin. Take a look at it.
http://www.marykay.com/michellewebb/skincare/antiaging/default.aspx
That links you directly to the skin care and you can view any of the normal/dry selections and they should fit your needs. If you have a more extreme case of dry skin there is another set of products. If you feel that is more your need, feel free to contact me at the number listed online at that website.
Hope this helps.

that sounds annoying! when you wash your face use a face scrub, i use a st ives apricot one which is good. then get a really rich moisturiser, nivea is good and put it on before foundation. if you keep getting this problem then it might be worth visiting your doctor as they could possibly prescribe you some sort of cream or something....? oh and a good foundation i like is maybelline wonder finish (i love it makes your skin look flawless!), but the important thing is that you make sure your skin is well moisturised and clean before you apply it! not that i think your skin is dirty or anything!!

The first thing you should do is to use a moisturizer (if you skin is
oily use water base and if dry use oil base) this will even out the concealer and your foundation.

Keeps on drinking water and also what I found working for me is using baby cream on my whole body it helps keeping it feeling soft and not dry at all it's one of the best things I would say that works for any dry skin.

I have horrendous dry skin. I use Clarins Thirst Quenching Serum prior to moisturising. My foundation is Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals. Excellent product, also has SPF15.

I have dry skin too, and I use Chanel's foundation (details at http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&Itemid=99999999&id=133), it's really natural and doesnt make the skin patchy.
Besides, you could do some hydrating mask once/ twice a week to moisturize your skin deeply. Have you been using hydrating essence in addition to your night cream? It helps as well.
You can check out some of the useful essence & night cream here:

boots no7 has a really nice concealer its not to expensive either its in a gold case and doesnt look lumpy when you put it on. other then that go and see a makeup assistant in a department store they will be able to give you advise on what products to use - i sugest clinique as this is also nice but a little more expensive and the staff are usually very helpful.
