Like with murderers we should prevent that they will repeatedly do what they do. I think Pedophile is a kind of mental disease and this people have to be protected from themselves and the society has to be protected from them since the harm they do is horrible and the consequences irreversible.

In the local community, no, but if you are talking about gen pop. in a prison, then often you'll find that they have different meal times and such from the other prisoners, as that is even looked down upon by murderers. Child sex offenders are one of the most hated people even within the prison population.
While not all prisons have this system of segregation, often a lot do as they still have a duty to protect the inmates from violence.

My OPINION is that they should not be allowed to work in restuarants, department stores, and places like that. Well hell, anywhere that they work there are going to be people there that they can possible take advantage of. So I believe that they should be separated from the rest of the population. They should put all of them some place together and then eventually they will start taking advantage of each other and then they will know what their victims feel like. It is the duty of the city government to notifty people of a convicted person like that who lives within 1000 feet of them.
That is supposed to help...yeah (sarcastic)

Do they have to be separated? No. Should they be separated? Yes. Even in prison they are considered by other prisoners to be the lowest of the low, and studies have proven that rehabilitation does not work, so why should everyone else have to be subjected to this scum?

No, they are just put on a registered sex offenders list, then they are free to move anywhere they want...its the general publics job to look up to see if anyone lives by them who is a registered sex offender, which is complete BS to me...
