I am against any stereotype because most stereotypes are stupid. And you can't read people's mind. So stay in a separate room.

Is this person your friend?? Gay guys don't tend to jump on another male just because they are of the same gender! Whether a person is gay or straight there is usually a mutual attraction (one hopes) prior to jumping into bed.
So, yes it is safe as long as you know this person. No one should ever stay in a hotel with someone they don't know whatever their orientation.

If he will find out that you asked that question here, I am sure he would choose to stay on road rather than with you. He is gay, not a rapist. If a girl can trust to sleep with another guy in a single room, why can't a straight guy share the room with a gay guy? Unless you don't trust your temptation, you should be fine :)

Most times it makes no difference if they are straight or gay. People are people and some can be trusted with your life and some cannot be trusted at all. Being gay is not the question that should be asked.

Hello!! :o) It all depends on the character OF the gay person you will be sharing a room with. But I think most people [regardless of sexual orientation] are able to resist any temptation WE like to THINK they have when they see US!! Now if that gay person likes to play with matches - you might want to keep the fire extinguisher next to the bed. Have a great.... um.... SLEEP!! Craig!! :o)

Why wouldn't it be safe?
A man doesn't fancy every woman alive so why should a gay male fancy every male.
It is completely safe to use the same cups, cutlery, toilet facilities

why not, he's not going to try and seduce you if it's a professional relationship.....when and if he goes to gay bars is when he hits on other guys...not in hotel rooms with straight guys.....NOT That I'm gay, but it's just common sense.

Up to you.
Gays are not known as being forward. And if he is, a good right fist is the safest thing.
I would stay.
Is this a friend?
Then go with it.

there's nothing wrong with this scenario. every man knows his sexual leanings. if you're straight, you won't be tempted to explore the gay world. if you're bi, here's your chance to explore the gay world, and if you're gay, you've hit the pay load.
