What is the power of the little boy in the white room? Can someone explain what he is there for and what he can do?

He neutralizes the Mutant- X gene. If a mutant even got close, their powers were temporary neutralized. A serum was made to permantly "cure" mutants using his blood.

Did you watch the movie? Anytime a mutant went into the room with him, they would loose their powers. They would become like a regular person. He's the kid they got the cure from. They were experimenting with his blood. Dude, where were you?

He is like a "cure" for the Mutant Gene. He emits a field of energy so that if you are near him, your powers given to you by the mutant gene is "healed" or basically taken away while you are around him. That is why they nicknamed him "The Leech."

His name (or at least in the comics) is leech. In the movie, his power is NOT TO NEUTRALIZE the X gene, because people get their powers back when he leaves. Apparently in the movie, his power is to neutralize mutant powers while they are near him.
