Yup Final Fantasy X-2 with the battle system of old school FF7 but Tidus shows up not as a usable character

Yes. It's called "Final Fantasy X2" Which is completely differant though the main characters are Yuna, Rikku and Paine. They are searching for Tidus.
It's differant because it uses dress spheres, uses mechina a lot more, and differant job titles, like songstress. But it's fun, and has the same awesome cinimatics that made the first one great.

in ffx and ffx2, tidus' name isnt mentioned cos the game assumes u chose a different name at the beginning of ffx. there is a sequel to ffvii, its an animated movie called ffvii - the advent children. u can probably find it on dvd. there's also a new game coming out relating to ffvii which is to do with vincent. whats more there's a kinda prequel to ffvii which is another animated film which tells the story of how cloud was saved by jack. (was his name jack? anyway it was the dark brown haired guy who was a SOLDIER like sephiroth)

final fantasy x-2, you play as yuna, funny tidus's name is never said in ffx or ffx2 i wont say if u see him or not it could spoil the game for you

Yeah x-2 but i wish thay make a sequel of ff7 its the best ff game ever made then 8 after that i found the rest to much but i did complet them

yup, its called final fantasy ten-two...tells the story of yuna after she defeated sin....auron isnt in the game sadly, but wakka and lulu are still there...kimahri's there too....three playable characters this tiem around...yuna, rikku, and a new girl named paine.
