Identity - one's identity is what separates one from each and everything else. It comprises of character. The components of charactor are characteristics. No one would change an identity . (a + b)^2 = a^2 +2ab + b^ ) is an identity , like many others. No change in values of a or/and b shall never change this . 0 is identity of addition . It wo'nt change any number if added to the number. 1 is multiplicative identity. it won't change any number if multiplied with the number. could you kindly tell me what kind of identities are the Napierian number 'e', the imaginary ( so called ) number 'i' ( square root of minus one) and the ratio of circumference to diameter of any circle pie ? They are constants ! They do not vary. In the same sense any constant is an identity! If Rama changes his name , he would no more be called Rama. So Rama does not change. Rama is a constant. The name and his character, the sum total of his characteristics stand for his identity.
What is there in an identity ? If A is dentical to B. Either of them could be called in the name A or B , you choose. Then what goes between A and B ? They are 'equivalent'. "Equivalent means three things , or three what, you know. If A is equivalet to B then B must be equivalent to A; both of them are the same. So equivalence is symmetric. A is equivalent to A itself- any doubt?. So equivalence is reflexive. then , if A is equivalent to B and B is equivalent to C how come A be different from C ? so equivalence is transitive.
Now identity is invariant. whatever comes, it does not vary. Law of conservation of energy, Law of conservation of mass, conservation of momentum invariants of transformation of coordinates, invariance of quadratics, display the beauty of nature. Hessenberg's uncertainity principle - error in measurement of position x error in measurement of momentum is greater tha or at least equaal to plank's constant. This is comedy of errors. yoou can't devise precission instruments to measure two complementary physical observables in the absolute ! What is mechanics, quantum mechanics or electrodynamics problems, for that matter - You set up the equations of motion or their differential equations simply by rewriting the invariants. the laws of conservation of energy and momentum. And the differential equations roll over to the equations of motion!
Know Picard's method of solving equations ? An equation has a solution firmly sitting at a point. If you jump and get there, then O.K. if you don't, say your position is the answer. put the point into the equation it would lead you to another point. Again put it into the equation - it leads you somewhere else. You jump over a sequence of points . Under certain condition you go nearer and nearer to the answer point. under certain other conditions you get away and away from the point. Guess the conditions yourself. Why solve f(x) = 0 ? Try x = g(x) and watch the fun.
Now got enough of identity ? Certainly not, dear. Break the identity , you get 'symmetry'. Break 0 you get +5 and - 5. If you are sure of symmetry, you need know only half the things! Ain't that fun ?. Hammer 1 ,you get 5 and 1/5 . You need know one of the two, the other can't hide itself. Difficulty at something ? Just tell me exactly where it is . The solution is just beside. The problem and the answer just form a made-for-each-othr duo.
Symmetry , only symmetry is the way to.....Then the seer, the act of seeing and the object seen merge into each other, believe me.
have a nice time. you must be a mathematics teacher.

There are many ways to answer your question. It will remain fully unanswered. I must choose a specific type for the answer with limited characteristics otherwise I might go on forever. And I do promise to answer it all, or even answer it all correctly but I can try the best I can. I will not lock myself into you mind, or you mind will not contain mine, and neither my mind will contain yours. I will just try to establish a relevance or equivalence for the purpose of common understanding.
All things in existence contain one or more other things, and existence contains all things. The concept of Moon, for example, contains concepts of Love and Romance, but for a scientist Moon is also an object of curiosity, intrigue and inquiry. The concept of the Moon is the same but it is variable for variable purposes. The character of the Moon is constant so are its physical characteristics but the abstract nature of the concept of the Moon is metamorphic, it is hugely variable. It is variously for various observers.
There is existence and then there are forms of existence. Existence is essential but forms of existence are characteristic and expressive of the essential. Forms are specific due to specific characteristics they have that make then observable – there is nothing as absolute similarity, or equivalence, and all variations are transitive and gradual. Formulization of the essential is the reason two things are not the same and the one and therefore one is one and two is two - existence expresses itself in distinctive forms that are recognisable from one and another.
The ultimate character, I take, is existence. No form of existence is existence itself but each form tends to imitate the existence itself. An electron if for example, was the only form of existence in the entire universe it would has been as big and powerful as the entire universe. It would have attracted a positively charged particle placed at the other end of the universe causing the particle to move with a lightening speed. Just like an electron all other things in the world, including you and me, tend to imitate the entire existence. They cannot be existence entire and unlimitedly because they are what they are for what they have – their characteristic limitative qualities.
If a characteristic quality were taken as an entirety then that would become essential character itself without having to contain in itself anything else but itself. If there were for example all Beauty in the world then Beauty would not have been realisable or observable because essential no essential character can contain or conceive itself by itself. And this is the secret of formulation in existence – the way this universe is. Nothing would have been observable if it were not for the fact that things have other things as their characteristic and character, if considered an abstract reality like Truth and Justice, manifest itself with what it has to become what it is.
A character is characteristic of a certain form. It is a manifestation of certain definite qualities. A character therefore has something that gives it a character whereas what a character has is all that it has. If a character does not have what it has, or if it has more or less of what it has than that character will become a relevance, or a similarity or a symmetry through gradual variation, but it will not remain the character anymore but it will still be a character of a different form. It is therefore true that a character is not what it has – a character is essentially what it is. A characteristic on the other has
The question remains, as it always is the case that - what is something that cannot contain any other thing to be itself? What is true character, a true identity? The identity of number one contains two minus one; zero plus one, or one times one, along with many other things. What is the character of one that contains countless or limitless characteristics a character?
There are examples and analogies all around. But if I consider the case of number one further, and do not allow myself any liberty to branch out, I can see that one is all that is there. If we assume that there is an ultimate character in the existence. A character that has no variation like the concept of the Moon, and that requires nothing else to become what it is. To count one is to make possible and probable to count two, to count two to make possible the count of number three and so on. There is no end to the sequence of numbers once we can count number on. All other numbers will have one as an essence or essential character but with added characteristics making them what they are – a variant character, or a relevance. We cannot know hundred if we do not know one. All one is not is not a null or zero, which is its perfect symmetrical opposite.

I agree with the first two; a character can also be called a quality. So a particular quality, has characteristic in that, it can be defined. Only because it is a character. Second, a difference is a dissimilar value from another. However, there could yet another value that is similar the different one(odd one out). This difference has an equivalence in it self because, it is unique is its own being, yet there could another rare one like itself. I dnt understand the third one so, I'll stop RIGHT HERE!!

sure its a real fact even as considered in a particular way actual.. ofcourse present is like an ongoing second and prefer the flowing river.. in spite of the indisputable fact that previous and destiny are like huge time stages.. one prevalent the different ot prevalent.. present subsequently will change into dynamic.. even as previous and destiny seem static.. in spite of the indisputable fact that, in basic terms to view the fact with a distinct perspective, i wudn't call present "only a fleeting second".. coz its the biggest of the three stages- previous..present..destiny.. If one learns to stay the present.. one learns a thanks to " stay existence" ... previous is the instructor.. destiny is the secret or the desire.. present is the position all the artwork might want to be achieved.. subsequently.. its of gr8 value... in spite of the indisputable fact that, i do understand the persepective with which this fact were suggested.. and its a gr8 fact even as considered with that perspective :) good Q GGR !
