United States has the most advanced marketing and advertising market in the whole world, whereas Kenya probably doesn't even rate in the top 50 countries in the world. In the US, you will be able to learn firsthand what those marketing and advertising strategies are, from professors who are working or have work experiences in the US advertising companies. While studying you can also intern at the big advertising firms, or making international friends to get different perspectives and cultural backgrounds that is the foundation of advertising.
All of this will help establish and promote advertising in Kenya. It's like China employing US technologies to advance their manufacturing process for example, that's why you see a lot of Chinese students studying engineering in the US.

You could say things like:
-you would be exposed to many opportunities and different cultures that you wouldn't see in your own country (since the usa is considered a melting pot) and you could learn from their experiences to benefit your community in kenya
-you would meet potential business contacts and promote/encourage development back home
-you would have experience in dealing with american culture
(since the international business community is getting smaller with the invention of things like the internet) you would have a definite advantage and could share all of this knowledge with people from home

hope this helps, good luck!
