My former partner claims to have just tested positive to 2 at-home pregnancy tests and one clinic pregnancy test. I find it hard to believe because we never had intercourse, only genital/genital contact. She also claims to have some type of infection and is blaming me for it. She has been extremely stressed out with family problems and us breaking up, so I was wondering if her having a possible STD and high levels of stress could cause her to miss her period and test positive on 3 pregnancy tests.

Even though it is not that likely, you can get pregnant with genital/genital contact even without penetration so, yes she could be pregnant. It only takes one strong sperm. She could also get an STI this way as many infections only require skin to skin contact and not penetration. Pregnancy or a one in a million fluke is the only thing that causes a positive pregnancy test.

You might want a paternity test done if she keeps the child though. You should also go to the doctor and get medication for the STI she has since you probably have it too even if you have no symptoms.

It is highly unlikely that she would be pregnant. Unless she has been having intercourse with someone else there is no way that you can pregnant from stress alone or having an STD for that matter. She may miss a period due to stress because her hormones are in overdrive at the moment. Is she reading the tests correctly. 80 per cent of women can be pregnant and miscarry before they even realize they were pregnant in the first place. That is a medical fact because I have had a miscarriage myself and my obstetrician has informed me of this.

I really don't think that stress or her having an infection would cause her to get a pos. test result. I have never heard of that. So most likely she is pregnant if she tested pos. for all 3 tests.

an std would not give a positive result and if u have not had intercourse then its impossible that the child is yours it could be someone Else's or she is lieing id go buy her a test and insist she doses this in front of u

though std might affect pregnancy during prenatal period, it cannot determine whether your partner is positive in pregnancy test or not..
