I have a deploma of Legal Assistant but I don't have experience. A friend of mine she's a paralegal told me to go on and learn as you go. I think its pretty scary without experience once you make mistake I might get sued or something.

Thank you very much in advance for replying my question I do appreciate your time.

If you have the diploma, that is a good start. Now go apply for a job at a legal firm, then watch the more experienced paralegal, listen to the lawyers and learn. good luck

I'm not 100% certain about this but I think that your friend is right - a paralegal job is much like on the job training - you learn everything you need to know whilst doing it. As you are a paralegal, it is likely that there are fully fledged legal eagles who are there to advise you and to take the rap for anything that goes wrong, not you (and probably all the credit when things go right as well!).

If you don't try, you'll never know.
