If this were true, I'd create an illusionary universe where I never died or aged and beautiful women would be throwing themselves at me day and night. So far, the only people who have this illusion are in institutions because they aren't conscious of their bowel movements anymore. .

NO .it's not true. coz u can see a simple thing that stars n planets exist.that's a good proof of the exist of universe.Illusion comes when u strongly think of somthing. And it's really difficult that u can think of something without seeing that or the similar things.Quantum mechanics is really a vast thing.I donno how much u know bout it.And somtimes it's hard to believe the theories n things that happen in quantum mechanics without seeing that. The evidence of universe is just in front of u.Bcoz all men's illusion cannot b same.u c the moon n i also c.

It is an illusion created by energy.
If a nucleus were 1mm in diameter, the closest electron would be 1/4 mile away. If you removed all of the empty space between the nuclei and their electrons, you and almost everything you see and touch would not be visible to the naked eye. The sun would be the size of a pea. The earth, the size of a pin head.
The vapor energy of the electron creates an illusion that we see, feel, taste, hear, and smell.

How are we supposed to know? If it is an illusion as u say, how will it still be an illusion if u know the truth? Paradoxical statement. As of now, there's no proof for such a statement in Q. Mechanics or any other science.

If it's an illusion created by our minds but it is an illusion shared by all of us, then it would be the universe and it wouldn't be an illusion because it is there.

quantum mechanics shows no proof of this, in fact, it proves that the universe does exist... i think someone has been watching a bit too much sci-fi recently...

pinch yourself, if it hurts - then you exist, and since you are a part of the universe, you can assume that the universe exists.
if it won't hurt enough try dropping something heavy on your bare toes, that is certain to provide the proof you seek.
