It's certainly an amazing looking car, and Alfa should be congratulated for daring to make something a little striking- especially when you compare it to the boring BMW 3 series coupe.

However, I went to test drive one with a friend who's in the market to replace his TT. I was dubious about the Alfa's weight (it's nearly 300 kilos heavier than a TT) and half hearted 4-wheel drive set up. It felt a lot more cumbersome and lardy than the equivalent TT, Nissan or BMW, and not nearly as quick or responsive. What's more; the engine sounds nothing like an Alfa engine should.

Still, great to look at though.

Alfas havent rusted since FIat took over in the mid 90's. Saab developed Alfas painting technology at that point.

I own a 1997 Spider and it has NEVER let me down. There is no rust whatsoever.

Now the Brera. It looks lovely but by all accounts it is too heavy. Also the silver dashboard i think looks cheap.

It is pure automotive beauty. The car shaped equal to the perfect woman, the sexy curves of Pamela Anderson with the class and distinction and elegance of an italian princess.

Wonder whether it will go rusty as quick as the old alfas used to...

I don't like it. I don't think alfas are good looking cars at all. Unreliable italian rubbish if you ask me.

No it is beautiful. It might brake down like all alphas including my own but just look at it.

I'm not convinced by the proportions, and extremely disappointed with the weight.
