family court custody hearing represintation?

im proper and the 'X" has an lawyer. i have court in the morning and i lost my voice can i have my wife/freind speak for me in the case if i write out what needs to be said. or do i have to have legal reprisentation. (sorry for the spelling.

Well this is a little late in the game, but yes, you can have a speaker, as long as they are reading aloud what you wrote.

It would probably be easier for you if you just got legal representation.
