I guess I "chose" to be gay because I tried to date and love men,but none ever got to me. I never had an orgasm with any man. However with my true love of 26 years....ah, there's where I belong. Molestation can have some bearing on homosexuality, but not all. We humans are all creatures of upbringing and environment. My Mom has taken care of foster children all of my life and still does. When I see these poor kids, ruined by uncaring parents, I want to bash these selfish and self centered adults in the head. I have seen many kids abused, neglected, and changed forever in their sexual formative years. I have seen the withdrawn, asexual female teens, the effeminate male teen, the still trusting 5 yr old girl (who knows what nightmares will come back to haunt her from a sexually abusive father once we cleared her of disease and got her adopted) and the sexual predator in a boy as young as 10. He was creepy!! And I felt so sorry for he and other siblings. He was so ruined that all he thought of was his penis, he liked playing with it all the time and painting it with magic markers!! Some parents should not be allowed to have children!! I could argue that these were supposedly all heterosexual parents, but what's the use? Sorry for getting on my soap box, but I tire of these chose/born with questions. It just IS. It doesn't matter how or why. It just IS.

the majority of people who were molested are not gay, and the majority of us were not molested! I wasn't! not molested/raped or abused. born to straight parents (as we all are....), didn't know anyone gay growing up, didn't meet anyone gay until long after I realized I was. hate to burst your tiny bubble....but the majority of your bigoted stereotypes do NOT apply to us!
get an education...get some new material.

Can't say I was ever molested... but you know, i think it was the day I woke up and said to myself, "Self, you're going to be looked down upon in society, forbidden to marry, and have to fight for your every move for the rest of your life... starting... right...about...now..." ahhh, yes, there's some flawless logic for ya.

people do not choose to be gay no more than people choose to be blind or deaf, white or black. it's decided when your in your mothers womb. given the problems associated with being blind, deaf or gay just to name a few i don't really think anyone would deliberately come out of their mothers womb, and say i "you know what i want to come out being mentally retarded, or i want to be blind, or i want to be straight, etc. DNA(the sins of the father fall on the children) decides for us.
