If you swing and miss ( I mean really miss, like NO part of the ball touches any part of your body or racquet ) you are allowed to try for it again as many times as you want : ) until you make contact with the ball in any way.

If you swing and miss , but can still recover to hit another shot it is absolutely legal. Just be aware that if any part of the racket does touch the ball the first time it is illegal and you lose the point. It happens sometimes on overheads where a player will swing and miss because of the sun or some other reason and you have time to circle around and hit a ground stroke. The bottom line is that as long as you do not make contact you can swing swing again , so the answer is yes, you are allowed to.

If you swing and miss during a serve that would be considered a fault. When you are rallying and you swing and miss, as long as the ball did not touch the racquet), you can execute another shot if the situation permits.

If you swing and miss during a serve that would be considered a fault. During a rally when you swing and miss (as long as the ball did not touch the racquet at all) you can execute another shot if the situation permits.

You can miss it as many times as you can!!! just make sure you get nothing but thin air in each miss.
You know I was thinking maybe this could be a good idea for a trick shot (if you're faster than the eye can blink, that is) when your opponent gives you a lob or a slower shot...practice makes perfect!!!

Every model of tennis ball has its own pressure. I use Slazzanger or dunlops balls. Usually, after one or two matches, best of three, we will change the balls.

if you are serveing then it would be a fault and you get a second try. if you miss the second time then tough luck you loss a point. but if you are rallying then you will automaticaly loss a point.
