1 Tell her it's because her boyfriend was the father.
2 Wait until they have walked away and double park them so they're going nowhere until you let them.
3 Politely point out the mistake to the cashier who should call the store owner/manager who you can then gently take by the throat.
4 Advise them to pay a visit to the Sexually Transmitted Disease clinic, especially if they are with their latest partner.
5 Say "Hi Dad, wasn't Mum there to dress you again this morning?"
6 Say you love him, and if he doesn't run a mile, ask him if he has a large pot, before making discrete enquiries about any fluffy pets he keeps.
7 When my neighbour came running to my house the other evening to say my Mother-in-law was being mugged by 7 youths I looked out of the window and saw he was correct. "Aren't you going to help?" he asked. "Don't you think 7 is enough?" I replied.
8 Remind them that they really shouldn't insult us because we will be picking which nursing home they die in.

It is a far better thing that I do ... when I shut up.
Except maybe for the mugging in the alley ... or the error on the price tag. (The cashier's going to hear about it.)
All the other things are minor annoyances, not worth my energy to put up ...so I'd shut up and focus my attention elsewhere.

id ignore a person saying something like that to anybody id let them ahve the parking spot and find another id tell cash regester person the mistake they made id ignore a one night stand in less they agnoldged me id tell someone there underwere was on wrong id answer with kindness and paitence id call the police on a mugging id be kind as you respect your elders at all costs
