when you review dont memorize it because there are some situations during the exam that your mind suddenly come into a state of mental block out. all that you have memorized you can not recall it. it is better to understand all the notes that you are reading. and the best thing to do is read your notes 40 minutes a day.. read and read and read...

Review the notes, outlining what pops out as important. Make flashcards for any vocabulary, formulas, or dates that need to be memorized. Write any questions you may have down so you can ask your professor or another (successful) student when you get a chance.
Best of luck.

Regular study habit pays off. If you review your notes regularly, it will be easier for you come major exams. It is also good if you write down notes and make a reviewer because writing it yourself results to longer memory retention. Good luck!

Read it several times. Try to read it (some times) aloud. Then discus it with friends. Try to prepare your own tests. Test friends (orally not to waste your time).

I find flashcards to be very helpful if someone else shows you them and verifies your answers. I don't find them very useful if you just read them yourself because it's not that challenging.
