Apples and oranges, were there elections being held during the Shiavo fiasco? The Dems used Steve Reeve during Gore's campaign also (if you are old enough to remember that long ago).

Michael J. Fox is being exploited because he can be! the Democrats know that having someone like MJ Fox will be more credible, realistic, as well as appealing to those who it did not before especially seeing him having to deal with Parkinson's in the ads he stars in. i think that he is one courageous person and we need more of them like him to make a difference and to use stem cell research for the different various uncurable diseases that are out there including Alzheinmer's, Parkinson's, epilepsy, diabetes, HIV and AIDS! the only reason that the Rebublican are tearing him to shreds in because they know that everything they have done and stand for is corruption, no stem cell research because of religious belief-whatever, but abortion is okay according to the Supreme Court's case of Rowe vs.Wade!-and that the war is putting a shadow on them as well as the Foley Scandal and everything else that is going on that makes them look bad which is what they are: deceiving, stupid, arrogant, ariheads, snobs, with no appreciation for the best of the people until it is too late and who are led by a moron-our President! if you can tell me that what they have done is not more harm than good and prove me wrong on the issues of too much spending on war,not enough on education, being the most hated country in the world and so forth plz do so!
as for the Terri Shiavo case i remember that. i believe that it is sad that she was on life support for so long after the doctors determined that no chance of recovery of take place yet her parents kept on pushing it! it was basically to keep someone arificially alive at what price? i think that she should of died when she could not do anything on her own and in peace as oppossed to be in the situation that she was in and had no hope or chance! she would have been happier to die in peace than to stay on life support for all those years and to go through all those things which i consider torture!

Fox is choosing to exploit himself to achieve a goal which may save his life...good for him!
Shiavo didn't choose anything, did she? Thank God she was allowed to pass with dignity.

Yeah, and I bet her f--kin' parents were super pissed that the death of Pope John Paul II stole their daughters' thunder (they both died on the same day, you might recall.) I am quite sure Terry Schiavo wanted her husband to pull the plug...christ knows I would!
As far as I'm concerned, both parties exploit EVERYBODY, so WTF...

I remember Terri. (Tragic) I think if anyone is exploiting MJ it would be himself. (Not to say he *is* being exploited.)
You can't be exploited against your will.
