Okay, lets begin with the understanding that Parantham, who posted the rather lengthy answer above, is an idiot. Rather than having to write something twice as long to refute his laughable "evidence" try checking out the National Geographic special concerning the subject or any of several other works by serious scientists. Every one of the points brought up by Parantham or other conspiracy freaks have been easily answered and dismissed time and time again. Not that the conspiracy true believers seem to be impressed by facts or science. Consider the perfectly valid point that Emily brought up. If the moon landing was all a fake then why is it that the Soviet Union never cried foul? They were the great rival of the United States and stood to gain tremendous prestige if the moon landing could be proven to be a hoax perpetrated by the Americans. The Soviets never once tried to claim that the moon landing was anything other than real. That should send up red flags to anyone who considers believing in this conspiracy nonsense.

You'll find that the "fake moon landing" types are hatched in the same nest as the 9/11 conspiracy, Kennedy assassination, anal probing little green men UFO abduction epidemic and Elvis is alive and married to Bigfoot, crowd. Basically they consider themselves to be on the cutting edge and not part of a herd. Then, after declaring loudly that they are not sheep, they accept and believe without question the latest conspiracy theory that flies in the face of science and ignores the basic laws of physics. The truth is that the conspiracy crowd is made up of the most sheep like of all people. In their desperate need to feel superior to others, to somehow be in on the great secret, they will believe anything, no matter how outrageous or absurd, without any scientific basis. All in all, a rather smug and yet pathetic group not worthy of the annoyance they cause.

Although my wife's father performed fuel calculations for the original Apollo landing, I'll spare you that speech. Instead, I will encourage you to watch two programs. The first show is called Conspiracy Moon Landing that it currently showing on the National Geographic Channel and it pretty much obliterates all of the popular conspiracy theories.

I would also encourage you to watch a movie called Capricorn One. Made it 1978, it is a fictional story about a fake mission to Mars. Although it is a science fiction story, it is a good example of how utterly impossible it would be to fake a moon landing for any length of time.

12 men walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we have neither the resources nor the technology to pull off that big of a hoax for so long. Hundreds of thousands of people have worked on the space program. It would be far easier to put someone on the moon than to try and fake it and keep it secret for nearly 40 years.

The landings came at a time when our space program was ultra competitive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how big of a deal it was when Sputnik was put into orbit? They had the technology to monitor our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you think they would have called us out if they had evidence that it was all fake?

Perhaps the most definitive proof of our trip to the moon is what we left behind. For the last 35+ years, scientists have been beaming lasers to the moon and measuring the return times. How are they doing this? The beams are reflected back by equipment left on the moon on at 3 different locations.

Case closed.

My fellow brain washed brothers....It's true that Appolo landing on moon by NASA was fake...they did all this just to prove USA a technologically advanced country so that it could easily sell its other technologies to rest of the world....

Wake up you fools....

No, it was not fake, nor was the holocaust nor was 9/11. The only that is fake are psychics, the dark arts and TV wrestling, but people regard them as real.

NO.. None of them were.. We left proof there. Check it out. There is a Lazar mirror on the moon that reflects a beam back.

It could go either way. Not that it matters...like any good conspiracy theory (JFK, 9/11, etc), we'll never know for sure, so all we can do is guess.

In the meantime, check out a movie called "Capricorn One"...I'm sure it'll make you think.
