I need help figuring out what position to play, I'm 6'2" about 250, i have good reflexes, am very flexible. I have an awesome snap shot, i lack a perfect slap shot, i can handle the puck pretty well... i keep my head up... not the fastest skater, but can turn on a dime, very good at making accurate passes and shots. Nice glove hand, very high pain tolerance ( you should see the bruises)..I dont want to sound cocky what so ever... im not great at any position but am really wondering what position i should try to perfect...Thanks for all the help.

It sounds like Goalie should be your position. You would have the advantage at size. Not too many goalies that are 6'2" and weigh 250......mostly in the 160-180 range. If you have the reflexes and the glove hand that you claim combined with your size.....goalie would be your best bet.

Your second option should be defense. Again, with your size as the advantage. I wouldn't want to be skating down the boards with a 250 pounder barreling at me ready to put my head through the glass......then again, that could be cause I'm getting too old. LOL!

Well some of the things that you list off sound almost like you can play goal as well. I don't really know where a good glove hand would come in at any other position on the ice. If I were you I would go out for defense, you could go for forward, but if your not the fastest guy out there you might run into problems. The fact is teams usually go for size on that blue line and you will get far less people fighting you for that spot because defense is not as desirable a spot as offense, not as flashy. Go with D!

PLAY GOALIE

you say you cant skate, and in today's hockey they want smaller players cause big guys are to slow and you say you are flexible and you have good reflexes and then you say you have a nice glove hand. that says it all you are meant to be a goalie period.

u should play either defense..(ur size is really good for that)..uhh u can also play a winger cuz u seem to have good skills :D. maybe tho when u get really good at skating u can go up to playing center..i wouldnt put u at goalie tho.

I would suggest defenseman or center because of your size and puck handling strengths.

Take a winger position.

You're big. You may not be a fast skater but you could be an enforcer.
