I had posted a question just right now, one of the answers really made me confused now.
The answerer says I must not marry my described cousin because of birth defects that might be created in my children,i.e. Down's Syndrome or etc.

Is it true.......the birth defects scene with this marriage??????

That's your second cousin...most birth defects and laws concerning this have to do with marrying your first cousin.

It's more than likely legal, but I would consider genetic testing before having children.

birth defects actually is in imbalance of hormones. yes it does have effect if both have the same blood lines, if it didnt show up on the first born or to your children to be, it will show up to the second generations. so if theres no other choice of marrying other man, and you got pregnant, theres already a modern technique/equipment to determine the condition of the baby, if its normal or not. you take all the precautions on this matter of prenancy. and consequence of marrying him. some disagree or most disagree marrying a relative. and its up to your beliefs.

If i understand correctly...he is your 2 nd cousin...i think that is too close of a relation because at least in my family the genes are really strong and i have third cousins who look like they could be my brothers or sisters so that means that there is still close relations....if he was like your 6th or 7th cousin maybe but second is still too close....i do know people who marry 6th or 7th and there children came out fine but second no!!!!!!!

That is your cousins son.

Chances are you will have a retarded baby, or deformed triplets if you have kids. They would have like, lobster hands and giant foreheads or something.
