He was such a great player in high school and a pretty good player at St. Johns, but when he got to the NBA he was a disaster. What went wrong?

I think he is a classic tweener.
Not exactly a 2 and too small for a 3.
Low assist total and low shoot percentage.

Probably athletic enough to dominate in high school and college, but that generally does not work too well in the NBA.

Except for that one preseason game that was played in his home country. he did well in that game, which was when he played for Minnesota. I thought it was because of injuries that I never heard of him since... and I live in Minnesota.
