True Texans fans only please! What is your thoughts about the teams future? I think good times are ahead.?

oh i agree. they are showing some promise. if we can get some good db's in the upcoming draft (id like to see michael griffin and aaron ross there myself) and some OL's then we'll have a great chance to make a run next year as long as carr stays consistent.

They are definitely showing some promise, however they still have much much farther to go. I think they did the right thing by not picking up a quarterback. Passing on Reggie Bush...that may or may not have been a good choice, but I respect their decision on that. I think the Texans first need to focus on getting a good offensive line to protect their good quarterback. They have a good quarterback, but a quarterback can't perform like he should if he doesn't have a good offensive line. Look at the Colts as an example. What was the first thing Bill Polian went after after they signed Peyton Manning. First and foremost you are protecting your most expensive investment (the quarterback) from getting hurt. Secondly, you cant' have a good passing game or running game without a good offensive line to give the quarterback time to pass or without a good offensive line that can open up holes for the running back. After they get the offensive line then they can focus some on defense a little more.

The Texans have one humongous problem though. They are in one tough division. First you have the Colts, the perennial leader of the AFC South. Then you have the Jaguars...both good teams to overcome. Then you have the Titans which with Vince Young at quarterback and Fishers as coach are going to become a very good team in time. The Texans need to get good and quick if they expect to make it to the play-offs anytime soon.

The best chance of them making the playoffs anytime soon would be as a wild card.
