Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs are the ones I know and they do it to be classy which I dont like cause its the 21st century names should be in back. All teams have them in the back during away games though

The Red Sox don't have names on the back of their home uniforms, but they do have names on the back of their away uniforms. It makes sense, if you think about it: At home, the fans know the players by position, face, and number. But when the team is on the road, the fans at the other parks aren't as familiar with who is who.

The Dodgers do not display the names of the players on their home uniforms. I believe it is because the owner is cheap and wants fans to buy programs.

As a rule most teams wear the names on the back of their grey "away" jerseys.
