The best scientific explaination is that the ocean bed produces methane gas which come up to the surface as huge bubbles, causing ships to sink and airplane engines to malfunction and therefore crash.

hey.... I used to love this topic.
well... nobody really knows what happenes when you go there. :)
I read so many ppl's opinions and they seem to contrast each other's. some people say it's the enterence to the 4th dimension
and some say this weird thing happenes because of the plenty of gas in the bottom of the area. this gas causes more and more clouds to gather.
and this guy said the bermuda triangle is all fake! it has become famous and now it has turned into resort!
well da truth is what you believe!
There are so many fake information around us that it has now
become almost impossible to find the "truth"
always criticize before take whatever into account.

No, it's not true. There are only a small percentage of ships and planes that are lost and are not statisically more than any other region: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bermuda_triangle
That said, the BT is part of the Atlantic that spawns hurricanes and tropical storms from June to November, so vessels that are not paying attention to weather forecasts can be caught unawares.

Funny, I've been through the Bermuda Triangle several times, and I'm still here.
I guess it doesn't get EVERYTHING.
