I'm thinking about buying a GAME BOY DS There are a few games I really like. But I also like some of the games that come with GAME BOY ADVANCE.

My question is can I use Game Boy Advance games in a Game Boy DS game system?

Don't believe the no that the others say. Gameboy advace cartridges is compatible with the DS. Just because it has a dual screen doest mean that gameboy advance cartridges wont work. Well i got my answer from one of my gameboy advance cartriges (pokemon emerald) which stated it is also compatible with DS... Youre welcome

i don't know why people came out with nonsense in the first few answers. it was uncalled for.
---------
the Nintendo DS, which you shall now refer to it as the DS, is not a gameboy system. true, it can play certain games, but it is not a gameboy - remember that
---------
the DS games are like little cards, i look at them and i can't help but think "computer chip" because that's what they look like to me. these fit in a slot in the upper half of the bottom part of the DS
---------
if you remember, the gameboy advance was able to play old gameboy games, it was able to play gameboy color games, and it was able to play gameboy advance games.
---------
but, the DS is only able to play **gameboy advance** games, through a slot in the bottom, lower half of the system.
---------
see, the DS can't play gameboy games, or gameboy color games.
