i know i have low self esteem but i don't understand how that can make me look unattractive to men. please explain to me if you know why?

even a girl who's just "ok" looking by society's standards will look a lot better when she's smiling and feeling good. at work one time, there was a girl who seemed very nervous and had a hard time talking to ppl. and one day i said something and she laughed, and i said "you should smile more, you look so cute when you smile!" and i swear to god, it did wonders for her! she seemed to smile more, ppl seemed to respond to her more, and she felt better about stuff in general.
attitude is a very important thing, and i figure you can go through life any way you choose, and if you start off by giving it an honest effort, and trying to look at the good sides of things and be happy, then you've done all you can, and thats all anyone can do. knowing i've given something my best effort makes me feel better. we only get one shot at life, and when its time to cash out, i want to know i did everything i could to have fun.

Well, answer this for me. Would you want to be around a guy that was always second guessing himself and had no confidence? Probably not.
