An annulment means that there never was a legal marriage for whatever reason. A divorce simply ends a legal marriage...............

Divorce is legally dissolving marriage. Annulment is the religious notion of declaring a marriage invalid. To me, an annulment is a loophole for Catholics to get married without being considered adulterers. In centuries past, you couldn't get married in the Catholic church if you had been previously married. Annulments are granted if the so called marriage tribunal finds that your marriage was invalid for some reason or another.
I'm in the middle of an annulment process right now. I got a divorce a year ago.

an annulment is a way to make the marriage seem like it never really happened. Most people have it done to get married in a church to a different person.

annulment can usually only be done very soon after the marrage and when it happens the marrage never happend, so you never have to list divorced on a marrage license, if you divorce you have stayed married a while and there are legal things in it. Moreover your status is divorced so if you get married again you will have to bring proof of your prior divorce.

annulment . realizing you don't and can't get along before you aquire asset's in other word's you made a big mistake and trying to correct it .

Annulment, is actually a dissolution of a marriage that was never consummated. Divorce is a dissolution of marriage after which it has been consummated.
