150 people has asked this question by now.....
there is no relativity in the speed of light. it is c for every inertial system.
so since you cannot run at c
You will always travel will something less than c say 0.9c. now if you switch on the lights you expect (as sound) that the light would travel at (0.9+1)c.
Correct?

WRONG
The velocity of light is always c. and it is the maximum velocity that can be achieved. At least till now

If you could find a way to get to the speed of light without destroying yourself and the car, when you turn the lights on, you would see the light travel away from you and the car at the speed of light. That is because the speed of light is constant for all observers.

Your head lights will melt or broken because the stray of light that should go the same direction of the car will stay exactly at the bulb, It's like sonic boom (whatever the name) you know when a jet aircraft is traveling at the speed of sound you will hear such like explosion, because all the sound of the engine that go to direction we are standing on arrives at our ears at the same time.
So with light from your car will make a light boom.
That's why you may not maintain a jet constantly at the speed of sound.
Secondly, because you are at the same speed of your light you'll see nothing.. Even if you direct your light backwards, you will see nothing at your back, because the reflected light won't be able to chase you.

Someone in front of you going at the same speed would not see the lights on since the light would not be able to break the speed barrier and reach the person in front.

It would be impossible to even travel at that speed because relativity states that it is impossible for any material object to travel as fast as light.

Speed of light is always c. It doesnt change whether the reference system is moving or not.

You can't turn it on because there is no headlight. There is no car, and there is no you.
