I found out my guinea pig has diarrhea....it doesn't want to eat or drink ( even when I forced-fed it). It has watery eyes and sits in the corner. But when you let it out freely, like out of its hutch, it would walk around abit....

Does ANYone know what to do other than take it to the vet??

I just checked my guinea pig and I'm sort of confused because she urinated normally and had some poo....the poo wasn't in a normal shaped pellet and looked like a worm stuck together into a shape and the colour is orange...( her normal poo colour is dark brown and she didn't eat carrots or anything orange)!

Does anyone know why it happened and what's going to happen next??!!

OK....I took it to the vet and he gave it antibiotics because it had a sore mouth and yea...He said he is going to say it is a 'bacterial' thing.....He said my guinea pig will eat soon because the antibiotic will settle it.....

My guinea pig is now breathing loudly and still not eating....Should I phone the vet AGAIN??

Or what should I do??

i would only feed ginea pig pellets no treats or snacks an call a vet if you know something is seriously not right you should be responsible enough to take it to the doctor an have it checked out its part of owning a pet i would say you may have fed it something to make it sick like this is it in a drafty room or near drafts like a door a window anything that could make it sick have you switched the food the treats these are things you need to ask your self the vet will an if its near a draft move it i keep ours in the dining room no doors or windows so she wont get sick an never change the food if you have switch it back if youve introduced new things to eat stop til shes better an gradually introduce theman see what happens good luck

Ech, vet NOW. Your cavy may have eaten too much lettuce or other things, or it may have tapeworms.
