What will be the real change if any from the Democratic controlled houses?

It could be great, it would restore true checks and balance to the government. Some say it would be grid lock but I don't think so. I think some where in the middle is a good answer to a problem and if either party want to get anything done they will have to compromise. The best legislation comes from compromise. It is one thing for sure one party rule isn't working out very well now is it. What a mess.

Changes will be few and far between. I personally believe that the mess in Iraq will be corrected sooner than by the cowboy Republican party. That is either by getting the troops home sooner or something similiar. I also believe that the minimum wage will go up (as is Democratic history). The economy will have another period of adjustments to correct Republican policies (as was the earlier years of the Clinton administration). Job growth will be minimal at best. And it doesn't matter who is in power. The rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer. Taxes will be kept at bay for the lower and middle classes. Upper level tax payers will see some moderate increases leveled out by some stupid write offs that only people in the high income brackets can get.
Change like I said, will be small. If you have been through a couple of administrations in your lifetime, you have seen it all. Nothing big. Only people continuing to screw with people. Violence always growing, natural disasters happen. It doesn't matter who is in office, it is how they are handled.

Hopefully we can reverse the damage done to the Geneva Convention and make torture a word no longer needed in Government.

It will take some time and some good an honest Public Servants a long time to sort out the $ cost of this illadvised and under documented Mess in the MiddleEast.

Perhaps Congress could raise the minimum wage, and stop giving tax breaks to the mega rich. TRICKLE DOWN FAILED MISERABLY.

Perhaps we could approach Homeland Security with mandates that were both well thought out, practical, and FUNDED.

Perhaps we can free the press to do what it does best; Tell Truth to Power.

Perhaps we can help remind the "Moral Majority" that they do not have any right to that title. None whatsoever.

Perhaps.

But, they still have mad $. And Rove is the King of the well timed Slime attack.

It is still a crap shoot in my eyes.

The changes the democrats will bring is not knowing what to do at all!
I have heard no talk from the left on what to do about anything!
Some better answers from the left might get some votes, but right now every one is too scared to stand for anything for fear of losing votes!

I hope so, but at the same time, I hope the Democrats can withstand it, as well.

If Democrats get back in the house, I sincerely hope our troops can come home a LOT sooner than what Pres. Bush has them coming home (2010). Yeah, I know, it's only 3 1/2 more years, but that's 3 1/2 more years longer than anyone needs to be overseas, especially in a country where our troops are dropping like flies.

Besides a bunch of witch hunts, nothing but gridlock. This is good though. The rich will always be rich and the poor will always be poor, regardless of what the Democrats promise.

The world is never shaped by one man or one party, its shaped by the world. Theres no stoping anything, just another series of events triggered by everything on the planet.
