nano is a unit of meaurement . much like million which is 1x10^6,

nano is ax10^-9

so, a nano second is SUPER FAST . as the othres said,

so just to try to give you a scale . if you can turn around in 1 second, if you were required to do it in 1 nano second, you'd have to do it, 1 billion times faster.

I don't know if this is correct.. someone told me it's either one millionth or one billionth of a second! I really don't know hope you don't mind the approximate answer!
