Did any of you get married because that's what you thought you wanted, only to discover that getting married was the easy part, having a marriage is the hard part? And if so, how have you handled it?

My personal opinion is that having a boyfriend leads to marriage so you can live with them instead of living separate lives in different places. Being married isnt the hard part...the hard part is being married to someone who doesnt take their vows seriously. I handled that by divorcing. Peace.

I got married because I loved my wife and that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I wanted to always wake up besides her, share all the joy and the sadness in my life, share all the joy and sadness in her life, have kids together and have a happy life together. The wedding was hard to organize but marriage is easy if you're in love and willing to compromise!

Yeah that was me way back when. Unfortunately I chose unwisely I didn't get married. It's a good thing though because I would have ended up divorced. I still want to be married but I'm still looking.
