Rust in my tank?
Just purchased a Bronco ll that had loads of rust in the fuel filter when my dad replaced it.I dont want to let a shop charge me a million dollars to clean it out.How do you clean the tank once its off? What other parts of the fuel systems should be cleaned and how? Is it cheaper to just replace the tank and lines? What is the sending unit?
Thanks in advance!

i own a repair shop, and the tank you,ll probably have to replace on it the lines may be ok on it,but all the fuel system needs to be cleaned out really good on it for it to run right ,but i wouldn't try and save the tank the insides of is rusted and this means it will soon start leaking on it,and that's dangerous, but you might get real lucky on the lines ,you may have some problems out of the fuel injectors on it also, good luck,,i hope this help,s.

It might just be easier to get a new gas tank & fuel lines than trying to flush out the crap in them now
