Classically, the IQ or Intelligence Quotient test was an accepted tool in determining intelligence. IQ tests were administered in a variety of disciplines such as logic, culture, emotional, spatial, and verbal. All were designed to determine a level of competency and understanding in these frameworks but most of all, had to determine a high level of problem solving. memory was also highly prized as a sign of intelligence but has somewhat been abandoned. After testing , a score was determined from the cumulative score of all tests. Theoretically, two people could have the same score yet manifest completely different strengths. Yet what is consistent among all tested is the ability to be able to seek and recognize patterns which when understood can bring logic and order to the subject matter. Furthermore, these logical structures of patterns or languages could be used to problem solve. That's why savants are not considered geniuses or genii. Because they possess a highly acute faculty but do not demonstrate a total extraordinary intellectual power.

Ways To Measure Intelligence

That is a funny question, we say it is an IQ test but that is ridiculous. There are children autistic that are brilliant and and are unable to take an IQ test. Common sense is how intelligence is measured from a psychological stand point. Fine motor skills, gross motor skill development and the combination of a balance between them lets you walk and talk at the same time. Whether you do it better than the next guy is the question and a matter of opinion. If the intelligence you are speaking about is the literate one of reading, or formulating ideas for creation, or making a complete sentence either speech or written? Or how you score on a test in English, Spanish, Social Studies, Etc., I do not believe that tells you anything about the average person other than we all have the relative knowledge. For real intelligence I believe there is more involved with common sense.

Since you do not know to measure intelligence, how would you judge the answers? On grammar, or spelling, perhaps?

But is it is really simple - intelligence is measured by judging how intelligent a person is. Do not believe all other crap such as IQ tests etc.

Traditionally it intelligence was measured with an IQ test (those ones you see on the internet don't count), but they weren't all that accurate. Nowadays I think they measure emotional intelligence. I'm not sure how it works but apparently it gives a much better insight than the IQ test.

There are peoples more intelligent than another, I have no doubt.
And I have no doubt that is impossible to measure the intelligence.
You can say that a person is more intelligent than another, but you can not have the certain.
For me intelligence is the capacity that a person has to react to something new ,i.e. something in which is knowledge and culture can not be applied.

The present world measures intelligence through maths, selecting the odd one out of a set of figures and general knowledge. Through these methods you can only find a person who can store more information into his brain. I don't treat this as intelligence.

The true intelligence is in resolving problems in life. The most brilliant is the one who finds himself.

A lot of people think doing tests can help measure intelligence but it is not true. Since, different people are good at different sort of stuff. Therefore, you cannot measure INTELLIGENCE!

Intelligence is measured by how the individual sees, performs and handles, task, situations and problems that they face in life.
Cause the smartest person in the world could also be the stupidest.
