Depends on what your looking for, if a more agressive sound is what you're after go for it. If it's power, you will see moderate to light gains from a cat-back. Find one that you like and that doesnt cost too much. In the end if you want to maximize power, go for a larger diameter exhaust, but dont go too large our you will lose some low end torque in exchange for top-end horsepower. In retrospect, if sound is all you are after, just change the muffler, no need for a cat-back.

i have a 95 accord ex with 4 cyl with the typical bolt-ons: DC direct air charger, DC headers and a GReddy cat-back exhaust. the exhaust along was $500 and it probably gave me a generous 10 hp. it looks great and sounds great.

i'm not sure about what it could do for an lx model, but it can't be too much different than my ex model.

I agree with KEiKo, it depends on what you are going for. Horsepower increase will not be enough to notice, but if you are going to do more performance mods to your car later on than this will help with that. If this is going to be your only mod, make sure you will be ok with the fact that your car will be louder and possibly drive you crazy later on down the road. Plus do some research and make sure you get a quality brand exhaust, so your car will not sound ricey, I would recommend a Greddy cat-back system.
