There is no toy that can do what 10 to 15 minutes of reading a day can do for your child. Good Luck!

The toy won't make your child smart, but as already stated reading with your child and spending time with your child is a start in the right direction.

Good toys to enhance a child's learning are puzzles, blocks, things they can sort, (by size, by color or by feel) and books

We also used books on tape, they can follow the words in the book while listening to the story. And we used the library alot because books can be expensive

How Old id your child ? If your child in the age group of 3 - 10 years then please make the child read more books and out door activities. Coz children learn more when they actually see that thing happening...I am a farmer in New zealand and my child learnt to plough the field when he was just 11....Also he was a topper in his class....A child becomes smart if you SOMTIMES let the child do what you are doing....This helps the brain to think and also helps in developing the body...

Dear parent the Toys depend on the age group as you cannot give a 3 yrs old building blocks and you cannot give a 10 yrs old a teether.....

Please believe in yourself and take your child out with you more often.....For our kids we are the best toys and for us they are the best Gift of god.....

So please dont consider taking toys coz thats now that Important as some of them are also toxic and may harm your child as well....Just try and spend the maximum time with your loved one and I GUARANTEE THAT THE CHILD WILL BE THE PERSON YOU HAD ONLY DREAMT IN YOUR DREAMS.....

God bless you....

Toys don't make kids smart, SMART parents do! From the time your baby is born... providing lots of play time with you. Wheither your singing songs, letting them have your Tupperware and pots & pans playing pretend. It's not only books, it's all familly members snuggling with your child at one time or another reading a story. Making the noises & sounds to engage them. Playing on jungle jim equipment wheither in backyard, park. Playing hide/seek, and just running around increases their creativity and intelligence. It's not about putting them in this or that class. It's the simple act of playing, reading, and teaching them to use imagination. Teaching them to interact with other children. That's what makes a SMART child. Every child has their own unique qualities.

You will make your child smart
First step is to sit with her or him and read! A child who can read will always have an easier time comprehending anything.

This is the best way and the first step. Next you want to cultivate the five senses

Sight-visually appealing toys that light up think Leap Frog, Playskool or Fisher Price. take pics of things for baby and look at pics together

Sound-again more educational toys and Cd's to listen to during playtime or in prep for bedtime - think about classics, smooth jazz, lullabies-oddly enough religious stores are great sources for all of these

Vision-finger paints and playtime with you. hold up fingers and count. Buy a real magna doodle and draw for baby. let baby try to hold and draw to when he or she can

Touch-alphabet and number blocks are great for this. identifying body parts NOSE, EYES, EAR, ETC AND writing same on magna doodle (grab a couple of these they are awesome)

Taste- Baby Food is fun to eat silverware is optional and is usually used for flicking food whereas hands can grasp texture and smooch all over the table (easy vs wall clean up) on those days when you are eating snacks especially.
avoid concentrated juices which are high in sugar. Tropicana & Florida Natural are non concentrated juices.

Good Luck and God Bless

I agree with everyone else that reading with your child is very important... but as far as toys, I would recommend LeapFrog products.... my son has a Leapster... he got it when he was 4... it is a handheld video game system, but the games are all educational... my son can play for hours, and he is learning while he is having fun... and LeapFrog really stands behind their products... 10 months after my son got his Leapster, it started having a minor problem with the touchscreen... I emailed the company, and they told me to send it to them... within a week, he had a brand new Leapster, and all it cost me was the postage to send it back

it incredibly is not any longer the toy.. Its the quantity of time which you spend with them. kin products can develop into large getting to grasp kit while used with course. Ex. what share jelly beans will it take to fill the coffee cup etc.. Or.. get a young babies dictionary.. Sing a song like the wheels on the bus. Open the dictionary and factor to a be conscious. Ask what that merchandise does... and sing it...

Teaching kids to read from a young age is really beneficial i believe. I also think those books for pre school kids that teach them how to count and do simple addition and subtraction are helpful...I remember having those as a kid, they were fun and i was recognised as gifted and talented in school.
Whatever you do, don't push your child to learn, they will hate it and won't learn anything. The smartest kids are those who want to learn, and if they want to learn teach them as much as you can, because at a young age they're like little sponges!

As far as toys, it is difficult to say without knowing the age of the child. One thing that I can recommend is READING to and with your child, having books available, having your child see you read for pleasure and teaching your child to read at the earliest age possible.

Books, books, books!!!!!!!!!!!

Fisher Price just came out with all these toys that are for learning and education of children, but they have fun too. You should check out their website.
