The only way that will happen is if the Lakers were to get another player that rivals Kobe's talent... we all know how well that worked out. I thought that if the Timberwolves were serious about moving Kevin Garnett to LA in return for Lamar Odom that the Lakers would then just need a few nice complimentary pieces... that trade never happened so the Lakers will struggle to do better than 5th or 6th in the West. The only way Kobe excels is to completely take over a game... he can score 82 points on his own but he doesn't make anyone around him a better baller. That is why Kobe is not Jordan.... Kobe's best shot at a fourth title now plays in Miami and does not talk to him.

Definitely possible, but highly improbable in my opinion. Now I'm a Lakers fan, but it's going to take some time for them to get back up there. Slowly, they're making a good effort improving their team. However, Kobe is in his prime now, and that's the time to take advantage of a championship. Right now, they don't have the good supporting cast Kobe needs to win a championship. I could see Bynum becoming a good center in the future and Farmar is a decent PG. But Kobe and Lamar are aging, right now they're 28 years old. Most players start their decline in the 33's and above. Times running out and if they want to win a championship, they need to get some better players fast. They don't have time for Bynum and the rest of their rookies to develop. As I said, it's possible, but highly improbable.

No.
Why?
1st year without Shaq - Miami Heat number 1 seed. Lakers miss the playoffs.
2nd year without Shaq - Miami Heat with the NBA Championship. Lakers make the playoffs and are about to win, but end up losing three straight games.
The East is too strong now, the only team that has a chance is the Spurs. They still have all their key players.

Yes, there team is building pretty fast
I can already see a future in Jordan Farmar as the PG
Kobe obviously a SG
Radmanovic as a Sf will hit threes any day
Odom is inconsistent but is a good double- double player
Bynum is also improving and might be one of the best centers in the future
If you put those 5 guys on the floor that could be a championship team

Yes, I think so, but Kobe needs some help getting there. One person can't win a championship by himself.

Yes, but not until the rest of the team improves. No one can win a championship with just one superstar. Jordan couldn't have done it without Pippen. You need at least 2 great players to win.

Yes, they will. This is the main reason why Kobe changed his number for this reason. This is a new chapter in his career, he will become a role player, and he will make his teamates better players.
Watch out for the number 24 and good bye number Oucho!!!
