I feel sort of overwhelmed, and I don't know where I am going with my life. I am currently a Junior in high school, and I have no idea what I want to do with my life. I also have many so-called "problems." I'm anorexic, and most of my life revolves around weighing myself and wondering if I'm going to lose weight soon. I also play the piano and read philosophy/other books and that is what I like to do. I don't feel like I have much of a future. I only have a 3.5 GPA and I don't feel I'm doing well. I basically feel dumb and fat and sad. I don't know what to do...Sometimes I feel like wasting away since I am a burden to others.

Keep on dreaming about what you would like to be when you grow up and you'll enjoy those dreams even if they don't ever come true. I always dream about being a writer, a comic book writer and artist, an artist, a creative director or lead artist, or a computer game designer. I have craploads of ideas swimming around in my head. This keeps me optimistic for the future but at the same time I am not going to be sad if it never comes true because I have low expectations. High expectations will cause stress in a person when those expectations aren't met. So stay confident, but not too confident, and don't expect fortune. Always have your ideas with you.

Eating healthy balanced foods will cheer you up. It always helps me be on my good side. When I eat right, I am more motivated to do things where normally I would just sit and watch others do it. Do yourself a favor and feed those cells in your body and lubricate them with plenty of H2O. That'll get them moving around. You are a machine that needs its fuel!

Also, get plenty of sleep. If you get at least 8 hours of sleep, plus eat healthy food, add in some caffeine or an energy drink, and WHAMMO nothing can stop you!

First you need to get professional help for your anorexia. Never feel like you are wasting away because your not. Learn to love yourself first and don't worry what anyone thinks you are SPECIAL from the inside out. Just believe in yourself. You can focus on what you like to do like maybe becoming a music teacher or study philosopy in college as your major. Still you can't go forward untill you beat your inner demons.Stop weighing yourself every day you make yourself more depressed and thats not good for you or the people around you. Your fam. and friends must love and care for you enough to help you out so go to them. You seem like a smart person so make the first step in recovery and make a good career for your self. You can email me if you think I can help you. Take care

Oh please? Spare me your unearned misery and unhappiness. There are enough of you in the world already just like you. To be miserable to obtain unwarranted and highly manipulative attention - perhaps it is best you waste away and do us all a favor.

Perhaps like you say, you are truly dumb, there is the dicohotomy of you wasting away when you have already told the world you are fat. A phyisical condition devoid of any such wasting away.

I think you should worry more that others are going to see you as you see yourself.

You need perspective. Sign up for something truly risky: Downhill skiing, whitewater kayaking, skydiving, paragliding, Diving, rock climbing or base jumping.

You will have a brand new perspective.
