CO2 can also be use to fertilize the plants. Indeed, CO2 introduced into the irrigation water (drip irrigation system) can this way be added to the plants inside greenhouse, where water released near the roots 'releases' its dissolved CO2 and thus it becomes available for the photosynthesis. The production can this way increase even up to 30 %. CO2 is also used for welding. Other have written you about the pencils and graphite and about the diamond in cutting industry. CO2 is also used for CO2 sequestration, but here we speak again about the photosynthesis. Last but not least, CO2 is warming up the climate in its natural role. As an atmospheric molecule it is able to absorb heat and then emit it. Of course, today there are way too many CO2 molecules present in the atmosphere, therefore we have the negative effect of over-heating, the climate temperatures rise and its negative consequences.
