I'm doing a short essay on this topic for my anthropology class (gotta relate this to the polish culture though...dont ask me why). Can anyone name me a few to get me started on my research?

Polka is not a Polish dance, it is from Czech Republic. Mazurek is a polish one, but nobody dances that every day!
Game/recreation..? Let me think... Depends on the age of people, the situation, circumstances.
But as I see, you need some stereotypes to put into your homework...
Ok.
People often meet around the fire, for example, and they like singing, with a guitar... Sometimes they play cards, chess, badminton... It is common to leave the city for a weekend and spend it in the countryside.
Lately - just hanging out with friends, pubs, cafaterias, theatre and cinema, big shopping centres...
Well, if there is anything particular, it is not so common now, maybe only for the older generations - they remember some old ideas, which are in general for youngsters, so don't exist anymore, as we choose things more.. modern;)
Children play hide-and-seek (?) and other games... Nothing strange....
