A poem maybe, but not a song.
context too whinny,
and much too long.
heart is way too shinny.
Verse is lacking,
and rhymes are lame.
talk is simple,
and thoughts no game.
Lyrics should be pronounced,
even scores of intent.
Chorus rules no bounce,
words of no invent..............
Sweet, but no really a song...............

I like it. It's creative and sticks to the story line. Keep writing, you will find a time to come back to this one and see it in a new light. If you are truly interested in song writing I advise you to check out anything that Paul Simon has ever done as well as Harry Nilson, Leonard Cohen, and of course, let yourself be devoured by the Beatles.
Do yourself a favor and don't pretend to have figured it all out until you have a chance to explore all the writers and have developed some skills as a musician.

It's awesome! It may be a little bit long, but it's great. Really, if you don't have an agent, get one. Hopefully, you've got more songs like that in your notebook. I also write lyrics, and I've gotten better as I've written. So keep up the good work, maybe I'll see you at the Grammys one day. It could happen!

I am not a country music lover ..but I think it is a country song..with some country music..I would try and send it out to see if a music company could find someone to do the sound for it
