The anthropological record supports a theory that native americans crossed over a land bridge into present day Alaska 20 or 30 thousand years ago, then migrated south. Nobody knows why. Probably boredom.

esquimos probably came from russia which was connected

it is now thought that some native Americans came from France during the last ice age, samples of flint arrow and spear heads of a very particular manufacture and style has been found both in America and French caves ,identical.

also genetics from the French of some isolated vilages and the genetics of Native Americans match.
and it was very easy to cross ,hopping from ice berg to ice berg in a partialy frozen sea which was calm most of the time

But then there are many races of Native Americans ,very different from each other ,
i was talking about the hook nosed prarie Indians .
who look like the hook nosed french

the Apache, and Navaho are broad nosed

the native central Americans are completely different ,very small and also many different species ,the broad nosed , Yaci smaller nose mixteccas or the big nosed Mayas

and the tiny people on the amazon
hundreds of different races in all shades from yellow to red to dark or pale brown,

very difficult to generilize about Native Americans.

None of the above. They aren't really sure who crossed. They think it was native siberian or mongolian people. It wouldn't have been "native americans" until they had lived in the Americas for a while and become native.

The earliest human evidence has been found in Virginia. DNA indicates that the people were of European origin. Scientists believe that they crossed a land bridge from Europe during the ice age. There was evidnce that they were attempting to kill Mammoths for food.
