Is there something going on in your life that is distracting you from your homework? Maybe you're always tired because you're depressed? Try talking to someone about it, perhaps you're just stressed out.

Well, yes, you can help it. If you are so tired all the time, maybe you need to see your doctor and find out why. And if you're procrastinating all the time, you could set up a work schedule that gives you a certain amount of time at your desk -- time that has to be used productively -- and then gives you a ten or fifteen minute break to grab a snack, do some sit ups, daydream or whatever, before you go back for your next work session. It's a matter of focus, and you certainly have control over that.

Give yourself goals, and know that sometimes you have to take breaks. I used to give myself incentives - if I work for 30 minutes I could take a 5 minute break and get a snack, or if I worked for an hour then I could go call a friend of mine for 10 minutes. Just make sure you know at the beginning how much time you really need to spend on everything and don't give yourself too much time off.

It's better to spend 30 minutes where you focus the whole time than an hour where you aren't getting a lot done. Just find what works best for you.

Try having a friend keep you on track by calling you and telling you to do it. Make sure it's a reliable friend, though. Or ask for tutoring help or you could do your homework the first chance you get.

Turn off the computer, the tv and the phone. Do your homework before turning any of these things on after school.

Go to the library by your self to study. Don't do the phone thing, you'll just talk for hours.
