If you are making art glass to sell, the market is flooded. That means, that unless you are unusually gifted, have contacts in the busines, get some national awards for your creations, and have a lot of luck, forget about it as a way to make a living. If you mean importing/retailing/marketing the glass that's already out there, there is a slim possibility that you could have a go at it. You would need knowledge, some way to supply it, and understanding the trends, as in, what's hot and what's not. Remember, there are a lot of people out there that are attempting the same thing that you would be, and the reality is, unless you have connections, it isn't a very good business to get into

you will never know until you try and become successful, or go bankrupt

you live, you learn

i don't think it's a smart move, what would you make with glass?? i don't get it, you can't just fire up the stove and melt it. i think making things out of glass and then selling them might be a good business??

So so.In general, it Depends where you are, who your clients are/will be and specifically whose glass you are talking about. Are you talking Tiffany, Quizel? They are classics and will probably always will be. Murano is slowing down, the intrest in Italy is just not the current trend.
Could you be more specific about what kind of art glass you are thinking of?

If you have very unique pieces that are not like others on the market then you can be successful. People are always on the look out for extraordinary vases and such. Be sure to consider unique color combos and unique shapes.
