hmm. they both fit in the crack but i think the g-string has a smaller strap around the waist. i dunno. let the ladies explain.

There are a few types of thongs and G-string is one of them cos they all serve the same purpose, preventing visible-panty-lines.
A regular thong has a narrow piece of cloth(abt 3/4"width) for the in between leg area while the G-string consists of just a piece of narrow elastic binding or band(abt 1/4"width) for the same part.

G string is just that ..a string.. a thong (t-back) has more material and some find them more irritating to wear..
