He would always put his arm around me or hold my hand or kiss me on the cheek, he offered me his sweater when I was cold. He knew I liked him before he started doing all this stuff, and he said he didnt like me that way.
One day he met my best friend. And started to like her. I told him it was ok to ask her out so he said he'd talk to her tomorrow.
Why would he do all that nice stuff if he didnt like me? So confused.

He's just being a charmer. To some guys, it's nothing. Now if he kissed you on the lips or made out with you, it would be a different story. I wouldn't be upset. For him to hold your hand, offer you his sweater or kiss you on the cheek is innocent. You obviously have feelings for him and I think that this may be difficult for you. And are you absolutely sure that he knew how you felt for him? Some of us guys can be slow ya know. :)

As hard as it is let it go. You're friend may ask you if she should go out with him and if she asks let me tell you she wants to go out him. And you'll probably say it doesn't bother you and if you say that you'd better mean it or you'll suffer watching them together. The guy is a jerk for leading you on but now you know that he really doesn't "like you that way" or it would be you going out with him. Move on because if your friend goes out with him it'll hurt and you may start to resent her but don't. If you're lucky she won't "like him that way" either but in any case he's not the one for you..

he's a big flirt and a gentlemen. he's likes the attention of a lot of women. does your friend know that you liked him. mabye she should n't date him just yet? why would you tell him it's ok to ask her out. you put yourself out of the game.

Maybe he was unsure if he liked you or not, so by kissing you and holding your hand if was trying to firgure out if he could ever truly like you back, the way you like him.

There are people who like to flirt and try to get other girls/guys to fall for them. But they actually don't want them. They get the satisfaction in doing that.
