Potholes all over the place. Why? Ohio has nice roads. Why not Michigan.

we do not charge a fee to drive our roads like Ohio and some other states do
thye call them turnpikes
we call them freeways


thats the problem.. we do NOT charge.. thus do not have enough spendable cash to fix the roads

They are not allocating the monies to the roads and schools like promised....and factor in the fact that a lot of those large automotive trailers travel those roads.....Mack ave and those streets over near Chrysler are the worst, and the heavy salt lay out all adds up to a mess....Ohio takes a toll....and all monies goes to rebuilding the roads..I always though the Big 3 should be made to pay a road tax to rebuild the damage they do....

Michigan has poor roads because: 1)budgetary crisis, 2)winter freezing and thawing that expands and contracts the asphalt

because michigan doesn't have enough money circulating to fix the roads. even if michigan did have enough money, it would get eaten up just fixing detroit alone!
