I wouldn't; it seems disrespectful of those who live the lifestyle all year round. Why not go go Salvation Army, get something for a theme outfit, and alter it? It's personalized, cheap, and DIY.

wear darker colors, you don't always have to dress in black and fishnets. Dark colors, arm warmers or gloves. Paint your nails a nice dark color. Some have wallet chains. Braclets that are studded or spiked is good. Studded or spiked collar. Get a concealer about one to two shades lighter then your actual skin color. Do 'panda eyes' which is black eyeliner and eyeshadow very well blended. You can do black lip stick or put some concealer on your lips to lighten your lips to give the 'dead' look. As for hair style... either long, straight, and kept loose or short, shaggy, and layered.

Black isnt always the way to go. You can be gothy, emo-ish, different and original using colors as well.
Look up pictures of Amy Lee. Her classic goth retro rennisance style is inspiring. Not only is she a heavy punk rocker, but she's an awesome dresser. Not always goth, but alot of the time her style would leade you to think that.

I am glad you asked that, because I have to dress someone as a goth. I bought black hair spray, she's got long hair, a black dress and black lipstick and nailpolish, black eyeliner, and she's got black boots. That should be enough.

hi, i just had a halloween party and dressed up as a gothic homecoming queen. i found a wig that was black,white ,and striped, put it in pigtails, then globbed on the make-up on my eyes in silvers and blacks. then put on fake eyelashes and lined my lips black with silver lipstick. big hoop earings and fake full sleeve tattoes that slip on. i went to my local thriftstore and picked up a homecoming dress that was dark colors and cut it off right below my butt. then to finish it up put on black net stalkings with tall black boots with a big heel.

Everything black.........and if your hair is already dark....put a purple rinse in it.......paint nails black.......black fishnet on your arms and legs.....short black boots.......dark eyeshadow....and even black lipstick....make your hairstyle punky......that "I just got up" look......wear silver jewelry.
