The "cheesy stuff" is called smegma. It's mostly sweat and oils from your skin and serves as a lubricant. However, if you go a while without washing it away, dirt and dead skin cells can accumulate with it. Eventually, over a long period of time, this could increase your chances of irritation or infections.

All that said, it's perfectly normal for your body to produce it. But be sure you wash it away daily by retracting your foreskin and use water and mild soap when you shower. If you produce a lot of it, then you can reduce the amount by retracting your foreskin when you pee and wiping the excess urine on a piece of toilet paper or something. But consistent and daily hygiene is essential to keeping it under control. Some people produce a lot of it, but months or years later, it suddenly disappears (more or less). The human body is weird like that.

To properly clean an uncircumcised penis do the following: during a shower/bath, pull back the foreskin, and wash the area normally covered by the foreskin with water. A mild scentless soap may be used (if you want, not necessary), as those soaps tend to be fairly gentle on the area. If there is smegma, it should rinse away easily just by running water over the glans; if that doesn't work, gently rub it off with your fingers. You only need to wash under your foreskin once daily. If you're still in puberty, you might just be at that age where your body's producing more smegma (kind of like how teens also get more acne). Just keep cleaning under the foreskin every day. Eventually you'll notice less and less smegma until you don't even see it anymore, provided that you clean under the foreskin every day. What might also help is that every time you urinate, pull back your foreskin first. When you're done, wipe the tip of your penis with a piece of toilet paper or on the back of your hand (you're going to wash your hands anyway) before you return your foreskin back over the glans. This way, no remaining urine will stay under your foreskin - keeping your penis cleaner longer and helping prevent the formation of smegma and the smell a bit. I hope this has helped! Again, "smegma production" generally diminishes with time and consistent hygiene. Just be patient - you probably won't ever see it again in a few months.

Okay,,.. First, you noted inside the foreskin of the penis.. I am assuming you might be uncircumsized.. If this is the case, then you might have some bacteria or something from moisture if the foreskin of the penis is not dry.. This can be aggravated if you are sexually active. In addition, another thing that you said.. Made me think.. Infection, just b/c you said odor... So, I would suggest that you go to a local clinic and have them do a culture.. which is simply swabbing the cheese stuff with a q-tip and sending it to a lab to be tested.. I personally don't thing cheesy white stuff with odor is normal...

Now, the other take on this is maybe if you are a puberty boy then maybe this could be semen .
Not really sure.. But I say if you havent notice it before than you can't really say it is normal for you?

if your referring to the glossy shine of the fresh enzyme deposited there by the foreskin to protect the gland from infection well its supposed to be there and yes it does have a slight oder if however your saying that you get the white cheesy stuff in 3-4 hours your lying because this is just dead skin cells from the inside of the foreskin which could not happen in 3-4 hours lets be truthful here you just another one of the many guys on here which places questions like this to make the foreskin look unhealthy and dirty because you want everyone to be mutilated by circumcision because your jealous "cirkdone" and another one of the lets try to make the foreskin look bad Brigade you got your facts back to front if chlamydia is more prevalent amongst uncut guys then why are cases of chlamydia rising 8 times faster in the US per head of population than the UK get ya facts right cirkhead

So-called dick cheese, Smegma itself is NOT a disease. For male, under the foreskin, there are glands that secrete stuff called smegma. In short, what smegma does is to protect the head of the penis (glans penis).

Although it is perfectly normal to have smegma, it is important to keep good hygiene because even though it is normal, if smegma is allowed to accumulate, it can culture bacteria. So once agian, hygiene is important.

If you are concerned, talk to your doctor. It's always good to know about your body. :)

Smegma...good hygiene is your best friend. make sure you wash daily under the foreskin (in the shower...when you pull the foreskin back and cleanse really well) with a good mild detergent and if you should get extra sweaty...you may have to shower twice.

No, it is not normal. You may have a fungal infection, yeast infection, or an STD. Head to the doc and get it checked out ASAP.
